LearnPads host a wide range of English-based resources; some resources focus on SPaG skills and others focus more on enhancing reading, inference and writing. Here are some recommendations and ideas for integrating your LearnPads into English lessons. Our lesson profiles (where all categories and resources are nestled) are separated into phases (EYFS, KS1, LKS2 and UKS2), which makes everything easy to access.

• KS1 English profile: Full Stop Game, Capital Letters Game, Adjective Detective.
• LKS2 English profile: Synonyms and Antonyms, Nouns and Verbs Game, Contracting Piñata Game.

Poetry Zone: A range of free poems to inspire, scaffold and deepen learning. They could be analysed and evaluated in KS2, or they could read and enjoyed for any age.

The Adventure Shed: A wide selection of images and videos, which can be used for an infinite range of things: storytelling, editing and adapting, inference and deduction, and of course, pure enjoyment!

Storyline Online: Reading to children has been repeatedly shown to improve their reading, writing and communication skills, logical thinking, concentration and general academic aptitude… as well as inspire a love of reading. The SAG-AFTRA Foundation records well-known actors reading children’s books and makes graphically dynamic videos so that children around the world can be read to with just the click of a Storyline Online video book image.
